Experimental Study of Pore-Scale Water Flooding with Phase Change Based on a Microfluidic Model in Volatile Carbonate Reservoirs

چکیده
Carbonate reservoirs usually have strong heterogeneity, with complex pore structure and well-developed natural fractures. During reservoir development, when the formation pressure is lower than bubble point of crude oil, fluid undergoes phase change degassing. This leads to subsequent waterflooding displacement under oil–gas two-phase condition, also followed by a secondary oil gas caused increase in pressure. In this paper, glass etching model used carry out microfluidic experiments. The porous carbonate fractured are designed simulate process depletion development development. it can be observed that degassing occurrence areas order large throat area first, small area. And as follows: fractures, and, finally, converting early stage replacement reflects obvious characteristic “displace but not gas”; replenishment energy, redissolution expands from mainstream other areas, mobilization increases. characteristics water flow different stages pore-fracture clarified, migration distribution condition coexisting flooding after explored, mechanism volatile levels revealed.

Experimental and Numerical Pore Scale Study of Residual Gas Saturation in Water/Gas Imbibition Phenomena
Residual gas saturation is one of the most important parameter in determining recovery factor of water-drive gas reservoir. Visual observation of processes occurring at the pore level in micromodels can give an insight to fluid displacements at the larger scale and also help the interpretation of production performance at reservoir scale. In this study experimental tests in a glass micromod...
متن کاملsimulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water
abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...
RESEARCH ON CO2 FLOODING FOR IMPROVED OIL RECOVERY IN WATER FLOODING ABANDONED RESERVOIRS
CO2 injection is an effective technique for improved oil recovery in light oil reservoirs, especially for water flooding abandoned reservoirs. In this study, the lower part of Es1 reservoirs in Pucheng oilfield was introduced as the target reservoir. By studying the minimum miscible pressure in CO2 flooding, the reservoir could achieve miscible flooding. Long core displacement experiments prove...
متن کاملa study on insurer solvency by panel data model: the case of iranian insurance market
the aim of this thesis is an approach for assessing insurer’s solvency for iranian insurance companies. we use of economic data with both time series and cross-sectional variation, thus by using the panel data model will survey the insurer solvency.
Foam Application in Fractured Carbonate Reservoirs: A Simulation Study
Fractured carbonate reservoirs account for 25% of world’s total oil resources and for 90% of Iranian oil reserves. Since calcite and dolomite minerals are oil wet, gas oil gravity drainage (GOGD) is known as the most influencing production mechanism. The most important issue within gas injection into fractured media is the channeling problem which makes the efficiency of gas injection process e...
